Scoped Line Item Integrations

Moving forward, the integrations available on a line item will be scoped by the platform(s) assigned to the product that the line item is associated with. This document will describe potential scenarios that users may run into and briefly mention how to resolve them.

What

Integrations visible on a line item will be limited to the platform(s) associated with the line item’s product.

Who

All Ui.Marketing users who can view line item integrations

Why

With upcoming features like ERP and Auto-Reconciliation, it will be critical that users link the correct campaign to a line item to prevent billing errors. This should also reduce the chances of incorrectly linking the wrong DSP to a line item.

Example

When viewing a line item for the Competitive product, the user will only see the option to link a Trade Desk campaign when viewing the “Integrations” tab on a line item.


Walkthrough

This section will highlight potential Support issues that may arise, as well as how to solve for them.

Existing Line Item was Incorrectly Linked

Solution: Message the AC for confirmation, and then Unlink line item via GraphQL.

Platform Missing from Integrations

Solution: Add Platform to Product

Too Many Support Tickets Funneling In

If there are too many support tickets funneling in around line item integrations being available / not being available, we may wish to disable the feature flag to regroup and figure out what core functionalities we may have missed.

Solution: Disable FF: LINE_ITEM_INTEGRATIONS_SCOPED

Not Included

  • Enforcing only one platform to a product

  • Fixing any line items that were incorrectly linked in the past
