Overview
What
Proposal Export Customization to different file types
Who
All users who create and export proposals in ui.marketing, especially those who need to share proposals with advertisers and clients.
Why
This feature directly addresses a top user request for greater control over proposal exports. By enabling customization, we empower users to:
Tailor proposals: Hide or remove specific slides before exporting.
Maintain brand consistency: Apply custom branding and formatting.
Enhance professionalism: Create polished and client-ready presentations.
Example
As a user, I want to export a proposal as a PDF, but I first need to hide a few slides that aren't relevant to the client. With export customization, I can easily select which slides to include or exclude, ensuring the final exported document is perfectly tailored to my needs.
Walkthrough
Partner-Level Export Preferences
This feature allows users to choose their preferred export file type (PDF or PowerPoint), show or hide slides prior to exporting, and set custom branding colors that will apply to all exports.
Admin users can navigate to a partner and set export preferences for both file types and colors
File Types
At least one file type is required to be selected
By default, all partners will have all file types enabled
Only the file types that are selected will be available to export
Custom colors
By default, no partner has custom colors. The default colors are black and gray
To select custom colors, users can click the box to open the modal.
Use the arrows to change between HEX and RGB colors
This interface may vary slightly depending on the browser
Clicking “reset colors” defaults it back to black/gray
Customizing PDF & PowerPoint Exports
When users export their Proposals (from either the review page or proposals table) they will see their export options
Only the exports selected in the partner preference will show
Click the arrow to change the export type
PowerPoint is the default selection. If PowerPoint is not enabled, then it defaults to PDF.
If only one option is enabled, then the dropdown does not show
If users click either export as PDF or export as PowerPoint, a modal will show to customize prior to exporting.
Color theme
If users have custom colors set at the partner-level, they will see an option for select between black and white, and custom colors.
If no custom colors are set, this will be grayed out and defaulted to black and white
