Proposal Line Items

Proposal Line Items

Line items on proposals allow a user to further customize the products they are planning to purchase. This document outlines the specific nuances of each tab and nuances of the functionaloty

Navigating line items

Users can use line items to make adjustments and customize their proposal even further. All line items need to meet validation requirements before being submitted, and you can see this on the right-hand sidebar

Each individual row represents a line item or “product”. With each line item, you can:

  • Delete (remove) the line item

  • Rename the line item

  • Clone or copy

  • Add another line item to the proposal

Users will see whether or not validation has been met here, too, which can indicate the line item has dates in the past or not met the minimum requirements. Learn more about this in the allocation section below

Allocations

Each line item comprises the goals and billing information required to launch. These goals can vary per product (impressions, spend, clicks, views, etc), but overall function the same way

  • Rates can only be adjusted by users with permissions

  • When users adjust either budget or impressions, it will automatically calculate the other

  • Users are required to meet our minimums that are associated with that product. Not all products have minimums, but they can have:

    • Date minimums

    • Goal minimums (impressions, spends, views, etc)

  • Use the ellipses next to allocations to remove or add rows

    • The add row button on allocations will add the “next month” of allocations

If the minimum requirements are not met, errors will show.

  • Admin users can override minimums for adcellerant managed products

  • Non-admin users can only override minimums for self-managed products

  • Dates in the past cannot be overwritten

Targeting

For products that offer audience targeting, users will see an overview of “who” the line item will target.

  • If the proposal went through the AI workflow, the profiles will show.

    • All line items will inherit the same profiles.

  • Users can switch over to the individual segments view. This will override all line items.

    • Meaning, if a user switches to a segment view, all line items will show a segment view

    • You cannot reverse this

Tip: If users want to adjust the profiles, click on the “targeting” header to navigate backwards, and you can update the targeting, which will apply to all line items

If users adjust targeting segments and want to apply it to other line items, they can “copy” targeting over from one line item to another

Geofencing products also offer targeting. They require different metadata and do not show profiles regardless

When users switch to segment views, the segments selected are the segments from the advertiser industry. We are working on mapping them to the profiles.

Locations

For products that offer geographic targeting, a “locations” tab will show on the line item.

  • By default, all line items inherit the same geo locations set at the order level

  • Users can adjust geo locations on the individual line items; this will remove insights associated with the proposal

    • Once you switch over to adjusting per line item, it will unlock all line items geo

If you make an adjustment to the geographic targeting and want it to apply to other line items, you can copy that information from one line item to another

Notes

Notes can be applied to line items, which carry over throughout the proposal workflow

  • Any notes added will display on the proposal export for that line item

  • Notes added will show in the order submission workflow

  • Notes added will appear as a message in the line item
